Midterm Exam

Thesis: WHAT is your problem, HOW did it develop, WHY should we help.
On exam day, you may bring a thesis, outline, and note packet. You may not bring a fully written essay.

If you are having an issue finding your wevideo movie, try click on the red button that says start here...my movie was "hiding" there!

When you go to export the video, you can do two things:
1) export to youtube and send me the link
2) export to wevideo. Once it is exported, find it under project exports and click on the little grey arrow.This arrow will allow you to download the video to your computer. Download this and put it on a jumpdrive.

Over the break

Plot out your movie on a story board, bubble cluster, outline, etc. Have an idea of how you want to organize your ideas and media.

Collect your images and music. Put them on a jumpdrive. This will be much easier at home than it will at school.

Read your book and work on your DJs.

Just in case you tuned me out in class and threw away the handouts, recognize that you entire note packet (6 sources) is due on Monday. Additionally, we will have our first lit circle meeting. That means you need to have the first third of your novel read and five discussion questions ready to go on Monday. I will not officially take up the DJs until 12/10...but don't let yourself get behind.

ON MONDAY, the following are due: introduction, body paragraph 1, body paragraph 2.

10/24-10/25

10/24: PLAN test. No classes.
10/25: Thesis revision and pre-writing in class. If you are absent, please create a bubble cluster for you essay (thesis in the middle, support stemming out from that). You need to come to class on Friday with the quotes you will use from the text.

Socratic Circle Questions

Bring 6 questions over Night to class tomorrow (10/16).
2 questions about the characters.
2 questions about history and/or plot.
2 questions about whatever you want!

All questions must be higher order (application, analysis, evaluation). They should not be answered with a simple answer. They should prompt discussion and thought. These need to be written down BEFORE THE START OF CLASS.

Theme Paragraphs
